How this panchang is calculated
Planet positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard in India and Nepal. Sunrise and sunset are the visible ones, the upper edge of the Sun with atmospheric refraction, as almanacs print them. Each limb of the panchang is listed with the exact time it ends, so a tithi or nakshatra that changes during the day shows both.
