The 12 Signs (Rashis)

Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, measured against the fixed stars, so its signs sit about 24° behind the Western tropical signs. Each sign can be read two ways in your chart: as your ascendant (lagna), the sign rising at birth, and as your Moon sign (rashi).
