Rahu Mantra
The mantras of Rahu, the planet of ambition, foreign lands, sudden change and confusion. Traditionally chanted on Saturday, in the evening.
Beej mantra
ॐ भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रौं सः राहवे नमः
Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhraum Sah Rahave Namah
Meaning: The seed syllables of Rahu, followed by a salutation to Rahu. Beej mantras carry no sentence meaning: the syllables themselves are the invocation.

ॐ रां राहवे नमः
Om Raam Rahave Namah
Meaning: Salutations to Rahu.
Navagraha Stotram verse
अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चन्द्रादित्यविमर्दनम्। सिंहिकागर्भसम्भूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥
Ardha-kayam maha-viryam chandraditya-vimardanam Simhika-garbha-sambhutam tam rahum pranamamyaham
Meaning: I bow to Rahu, of half a body and great power, who eclipses the Moon and the Sun, born of Simhika.
How to chant
Sit facing east or north after bathing, and chant at a steady pace, aloud or under the breath. A mala of 108 beads keeps the count: one round is one mala. Most people chant one or more malas daily; a full anushthana, the traditional complete course, is a fixed total spread over days or weeks.
Mantras are a devotional practice, kept for peace of mind and as a traditional remedy. They are not a substitute for medical, legal or financial advice. For a planned anushthana, families usually consult a priest, who also checks the pronunciation.
For Rahu, the day is Saturday, in the evening. The count commonly given for a full anushthana is 18,000 repetitions; traditions vary, and some multiply it by four in this age.
